Abstract (EN)

Phthalocyanine compounds and their analogs Azaphthalocyanines have been focus of researchers over the years because of their high activity in many fields. In this thesis, a total of 34 new compounds, including 8 azaphthalonitriles, 24 azaphthalocyanines and 2 oxalate compounds were synthesized. In the first step of this work, the starting pyrazine compounds were synthesized and then substituted azaphthalonitriles were obtained by reacting with some phenols. In the second step, azaphthalocyanines were obtained by a new synthesis method from substituted azaphthalonitrile and appropriate metal salts. All the newly synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, UV/ Vis, Mass, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy data. In addition, the single crystal structures of 7 azaphthalonitrile and 2 oxalate compounds were analyzed. The singlet oxygen quantum yields of the zinc azaphthalocyanines were calculated using the DPBF technique.
