Abstract (EN)

In this study, a slider bearing lubricated with a non-Newtonian fluid is considered. The fluid is William sonfluid model. Under the assumpsions of the order of magnitudes of the variables, it is seen that only viscous and non-Newtonian terms have significant contributions, whereas inertia terms are negligible. Choosing non-Newtonian effects to be smaller than the viscous effects, analytical solutions are constructed. Perturbation methods are employed in search of approximate solutions. The simplest perturbastion expansions, namely the pedestrain expansions. First, the velocity distribution is then claculated pressure distribution. Only linear silder bearing profile was used and analytical solution was obtained for this profile. Analytical solutions were obtained from dimensionless form. The variation of velocity and pressure distribution with the non-Newtonian behaviour are plotted.
