Abstract (EN)

Due to the rapid increase in environmental problems from the past to the present, awareness of environmental protection has emerged. For this reason, there are many academic studies on the environment. Due to the necessity of exhibiting ethical behaviors in protecting the environment, there are various studies on attitude towards the environment. The aim of this study is to make a systematic compilation study of the most preferred New Ecological Paradigm Scale to measure environmental attitudes to the international dimension. For this reason, 173 studies were analyzed by literature review in studies using the New Ecological Paradigm Scale between 2018-2022. As a result of the analysis, the distribution according to the year, publication type, country, NEP type, scale size, likert type, field of study, demographic variables and NEP relationship was examined. The most preferred type of NEP was revised NEP in samples taken from 38 different countries. The use of the NEP scale adapted for children is low. Although the NEP scale was revised in 2000, the original NEP scale is still in use. The use of NEP scale is high in America, China and Germany. The situations identified regarding the use of the scale are given in the research.
