Abstract (EN)

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) can be defined as an imaging system that utilizes the electromagnetic wave principles through the structures and layers below the ground surfaces. GPR finds a numereos applications; in space, detection of buried land mines, archeology, criminal events, civil engineering and jeophysical problems.In this thesis, in addition the theory and principles of GPR, one of the modelling techniques which is used in imaging underground, Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method has been investigated and as a result of the investigation has been discussed. Obtained results by using and developping FDTD method has been compared with each other for different conditions and has been discussed.
