Presented at the sports service of local administration service quality (Ankara province, sample)

The purpose of this research was to determine presented by local management service quality of sports services and with demographic factors participants? between service quality whether differences exist. Participants of the study constituted of 552 (253 female, and 299 male) person who are attending to sport and fitness activity of eight Youth center belongs to Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.Measurements as a tool was used Service Qualıty Assessment Scale that have been made the validity and reliability for Turkey by Gurbuz. Kocak and Lam(2005). In the statistical analysis, descriptive statistics was used to identify participants? demographic profiles and to investigate distribution of mean of the participants? difference scores (service quality satisfaction scores) Inferential Statistics (MANOVA: Multivariate Analysis of Variance test.According to results obtained from research showed difference levels of service quality perceptions for the sub-dimension only ?changing room? participants? gender, for sub-dimensions ?employees?, ?facility? and ?program? marital status, for the sub-dimension only ?employee? education levels, for the sub-dimension only ?employee? income levels, for the sub-dimension just ?changing room? transport time, also for every sub-dimensions Youth Centers that join participants?. Participants was?nt show difference levels service quality perceptions for become times a member of the Youth Centers and frequency of use of Youth Centers.If the result need to be expressed as; SQAS(Service Quality Assesment Scale) scores considering of members of the Youth Center: research participants in these centers is a positive perception of service quality, that members are satisfied. Lower service quality perceptions of the members, only some Youth Centers (Altındağ+Youth Park), sub-dimension of employees and the program.Key words: Local Governing Bodies, Total Quality Management, Service Quality, Sports Activities.
