Overview of local tourists about the Nemrut Mountain (Bitlis) destination

The aim of this research is to examine the degree of satisfaction of the individuals coming to Nemrut Mountain, which is the area protected by the General Directorate of National Parks in Bitlis province. It has been seen that no studies on this field have been conducted in the literature review. The study group of the research consists of 20 participants. The data of the research were analyzed with a 10-question interview form created to determine the satisfaction levels of the individuals participating in the research.Thesequestionsaredividedinto main questionsandsubquestionswithinthecategories of destinations. Inthiscontext, questions 1-5-6 and 8 arecontentthe main themeandotherquestionsareexamine as sub-questions. This interview form to obtain opinions about the destination from individuals who participated in the destination. A questionnaire interview was applied to the sample group of the study on October 26, 2019 and October 29,2019. The data obtained during the interview were interpreted as a requirement of the research using descriptive analysis, which is one of the qualitative research methods. As a result of the research, it was seen that the purpose of the visitors was to see the natural beauty and crater lake, respectively. It has been observed that the participants have visited this area before, the visitors have participated mostly from Bitlis and the surrounding districts, and such an area has not been visited before. It has been determined that the individuals who participate in this area are addressed by natural beauty, lakes and clean air, there are transportation, accommodation and road problems in this area, the region is not known enough, and the way of formation and promotion of winter tourism should be organized with the promotion of winter tourism.
