Abstract (EN)

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neuropsychiatric disorder that begins in childhood and continues into adulthood. ADHD is characterized by symptoms that significantly affect daily life, such as difficulty concentrating, impulsivity and hyperactivity. Anxiety, on the other hand, is a common state of anxiety experienced without a concrete element of fear and can make it difficult for the individual to adapt to daily life and damage his connection with life. These two neuropsychological conditions can negatively affect psychological resilience by creating problems in the individual's interaction with his life. This research aims to examine the relationship between ADHD symptoms, anxiety levels and psychological resilience in individuals in adulthood. In the study, 111 randomly selected men and women between the ages of 18-65 living in Turkey with similar socioeconomic levels participated. Beck Anxiety Scale, Brief Psychological Resilience Scale, and Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Self-Report Scale (ASRS) were administered to the participants. The results of the study indicate that attention deficit symptoms increase anxiety levels. Additionally, the presence of both ADHD and anxiety symptoms together weakens individuals' psychological resilience, negatively affecting their ability to cope with stress.
