Abstract (EN)

This research encompasses an examination of Barbie dolls, which emerged as a product inspired by Bild Lilli, primarily produced as a sexual object, tracing their history back to the 15th century toy doll era. Simultaneously, the study delves into their evolving relationship with fashion trends over time and their influence on women's perceptions of beauty, thereby evaluating their impact on fashion consumption dynamics. In this context, the fundamental objective of the research is to meticulously analyze the effects of Barbie dolls on women's fashion consumption patterns and social lives, and to comprehensively assess the contribution of this influence to consumer behavior. The study employed an online survey form, targeting women residing in Turkey as its research population. A total of 404 participants who completed the survey constituted the research sample. Following a historical exposition and a survey comprising 15 questions, the obtained results were interpreted and evaluated.
