Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to investigate and interpret the phenomenon of psychological bullying in the workplace through a qualitative analysis based on the lived experiences of employees. Using the Grounded Theory approach, particularly the version developed by Corbin and Strauss, data obtained from in-depth interviews with employees in various roles and organizations were systematically collected and analyzed. The aim here was to develop a theory that explains the underlying dynamics, causes and consequences of psychological bullying in the workplace. The analysis process of the research began with Open Coding, where key concepts such as power struggle, stress and anxiety were identified from the interview data. These concepts were then grouped into broader categories in the Axial Coding stage, where different factors such as power dynamics, organizational causes, workplace culture and mental health problems interacted to shape the experience of psychological bullying. In the Selective Coding stage, four main categories were identified that form the basis of the grounded theory: Power Dynamics, Organizational Causes, Workplace Culture and Mental Health Problems. These main categories are interconnected and collectively contribute to a comprehensive understanding of psychological bullying in the workplace. In conclusion, this study has provided a detailed and fundamental understanding of workplace bullying, revealing the central role of power dynamics, organizational structures, workplace culture, and mental health issues. By integrating the findings from the qualitative interviews with the existing literature, a comprehensive theory has been developed that not only explains the mechanisms of bullying, but also offers practical steps to address these issues in organizations.
