Abstract (EN)

The DEFPOS spectrometer located at coude focus of 150 cm RTT150 telescope at TUBITAK National Observatory (TUG, Antalya, Turkey) has measured H-alpha (6563Å) emission lines from some HII regions, Planetary Nebulae, and Open Clusters in our Milky Way Galaxy (Sahan et al. 2009; 2015). This thesis briefly describes the DEFPOS and then reports results of the H-alpha spectra obtained from some ionized hydrogen sources (Sh2-108, Sh2-119, Sh2-136, Sh2-206, Sh2-228, IC5146, IC444, NGC6572, NGC6960, NGC2237, NGC2238, and NGC7380) in the galaxy. The H-alpha spectra provide detailed information about some physical conditions (e.g., the intensities, the LSR velocities, and the line widths) of the ionized gas in interstellar medium. From these spectra, the LSR velocities and intensities were found to be -5.68 km/s and 70.4 R for NGC7380, -7.87 km/s and 103.56 R for IC444, -13.94 km/s and 114.51 R for IC5146, +28.16 km/s and 160.48 R for Sh2-136, +20.21 km/s and 163.64 R for NGC2238, -2.82 km/s and 173.29 R for NGC6572, +14.4 km/s and 214.22 R for Sh2-206, -11.5 km/s and 318.47 R for Sh2-228, -20.08 km/s and 458.63 R for NGC6960, -47.48 km/s and 524.271 R for NGC2237, +13.18 km/s and 2169.68 R for Sh2-108, and +10.6 km/s and 3262.82 R for Sh2-119, respectively. We found that our results were approximately the similar variation with data given in literature. We believe that DEFPOS spectrometer is able to provide a powerful tool for the study of diffuse ionized gas and these new results may have significant contribution to the literature.
