Abstract (EN)

Objective: In this study, follow-up patients in intensive care that provide SIRS criteria, looking at values of suPAR, APACHE II, C-reactive protein (CRP), procalcitonin (PCT), their relationship with mortality rates of patients to revealintended. Materials and Methods: In a single-center, prospective study between February 2013- October 2013 patients were selected from the intensive care units. Twenty-nine of the Medical Intensive Care Unit and 29 from the intensive care unit for a total of 58 patients were included in the study.Provision of at least two SIRS criteria, ≥18 years, ≥72 hours in the intensive care unit inpatients were included in the study. In addition, the terminal stage cancer patients, pregnant women and those made massive blood transfusions were excluded from the study. The worst value consisting of the first 24 hours, APACHE II score, the first and fifth day of the suPAR, CRP, PCT, lactate values were determined. Blood samples were taken in the morning between 8 and 10 hours. Results: 26 patients (44,8%) males and 32 (55,2%) the females and the overall mean age 57.54 ± 18.15 were identified. Patients in intensive care at the first 24 hours were evaluated APACHE II score, suPAR, CRP, PCT and lactate values belonging to the ROC curves examined AUC highest APACHE II (AUC: 0,824) after suPAR1 (AUC: 0,673), PCT1 (AUC: 0,628), laktat1 (AUC: 0,528), CRP1 (AUC: 0,526) were determined. On the fifth day looked suPAR, CRP, PCT and lactate values belonging to the ROC curves examined the AUC PCT5 (AUC: 0,769) laktat5 (AUC: 0,733), suPAR5 (AUC: 0,687)and CRP5 (AUC: 0,648) were identified. Conclusion: The mortality rate of patients hospitalized in intensive care the most effective method to predict APACHE II scoring; respectively PCT5, laktat5, suPAR5, suPAR1 other biomarkers were found to be most effective.
