Relationship between emotional intelligence and authentic leadership for managers

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and authentic leadership level in managers. In the study, the relationship between emotional intelligence and authentic leadership in managers was examined, and the relationship between factors such as gender, age, education, marital status, years of experience, and duration of stay in the enterprise where she worked and emotional intelligence and authentic leadership characteristics were measured. The importance of the research is that it will benefit companies, institutions and managers by measuring the impact of emotional intelligence on authentic leadership. A research has been conducted which shows the approach that will have successful results in the performance and development of the employees under the management of the managers. The research was carried out using relational survey model. Research data on Istanbul from employees in managerial positions in businesses located in the province of "Personal Information Form", "Emotional Intelligence Feature Scale", "Authentic Leadership Questionnaire" using the data collected. "T" test and "one-way analysis of variance" (Anova) were used to determine whether there was a significant difference between the groups according to some demographic variables (age, gender, marital status, education, years of experience, number of staff working under) in the analysis of the research questions of the study. As a result of the study, it was seen that there was a positive and moderate relationship between emotional intelligence and social leadership scores and authentic leadership scores. When emotional intelligence total DZ score is compared with authentic leadership score, it is seen that there is a positive and weak relationship.
