Abstract (EN)
Both in public and private sector see leadership as a debate area which many discussions takes place. However, since the ancient times in all areas of management, the concept of leadership developed by gaining different meanings. It can be said that these different meanings are effect of the evolution of management theories. The subject of this study is the evaluation of management theories in terms of leadership , one of the important research fields of management science. The hypothesis of this study is that according to the changes of management theories, approaches to the subject of leadership vary. In this context, the aim of the study is to evaluate the phenomenon of leadership, which appears in different ways in every period of history, and compare in terms of administration theories, which are the fields of management science. In this study, it is assumed that every management theory puts forward various views on directing human factor. In the conclusion, it is found that each management approach to leadership claims the previous approaches to leadership are not sufficient; therefore leadership of the organization has been approached from different angles.
