Abstract (EN)

In this study, how people in the province of Yozgat and some of its districts utilize plants, what they use them for and how they transfer this information to the next generations were investigated. During this study, face-to-face interviews were conducted with the local people and the prepared questionnaire questions were directed. Considering the fact that young and middle-aged people had no knowledge of ethnobotany, people aged 35 and over were generally selected. These individuals were made up of local governors and residents who live there, including farmers, shepherds, and those who collect and use plants. In this context, as a result of interviews with participants from 14 districts, approximately 100 villages and approximately 500 people living in these villages, it was determined that 127 plant taxa were used and among these taxa, 20 taxa were used for tea, 75 taxa were used for food-medical purposes and 30 taxa were used for different purposesIn the light of the information obtained from these participants, tables were prepared by making comparisons with neighboring provinces. It is estimated that this study will provide significant data for the district. During these studies, many difficulties were encountered as the pandemic process was experienced.
