Numerical and experimental analysis of a ges system in Yozgat province

Abstract (EN)

In this study, the design of a photovoltaic (PV) system connected to the grid in Yozgat province with PVsyst 6.7.9 program was aimed to compare the actual production values with simulation results. The geographical location of the photovoltaic solar power plant in Yozgat province was marked in the PVsyst program and the meteorological data of the region was taken from the Meteonorm 7.2 database that exists in the program. 4400 polycrystalline photovoltaic panels with 265 Wp power and 20 inverters with 50 kW power were used in the system. Monthly and annual radiation amounts, monthly and annual production data, losses of photovoltaic system (loss of module array mismatch, loss of Ohmic wiring, loss of virtual Energy, Global Inverter losses, etc.) and performance data of the system were obtained from PVsyst 6.7.9 program. While the amount of energy produced by the system was 60,18 kWh/kWp/ day, the annual amount of energy supplied to the network was calculated as 52,16 kWh/kWp/ day. The performance rate of the system was found as 88.13%. While 1859 MWh of energy will be transferred to the grid from the system installed in Yozgat province in 2018, looking at the output of the PVsyst program for the similar system, it was predicted that the system will transfer 1851 MWh of energy to the grid with a performance rate of 86.65%. The analysis shows that there is a difference of approximately 0.15% between the simulation results and the actual production values. Comparison calculations were made for the possible photovoltaic systems installed in pilot provinces (Erzurum, Ankara, Çanakkale) which are located at the same latitude but in different climatic zones. These photovoltaic systems were designed taking into consideration of the system features established in the Yozgat province. According to these calculations; It was estimated that the possible photovoltaic systems generate 1700 MWh per year with 88.32% of performance in Erzurum, 1612 MWh per year with 86.7% of performance in Ankara and 1588 MWh per year with 84.74% of performance in Çanakkale.
