Abstract (EN)
The village rooms we will examine in the region, which is located in the Anatolian geography with a rich culture, constitute an important place both in terms of art history and the history of Yozgat. We see village chambers as one of the most important places where social unity is achieved in Yozgat geography. These rooms, where villagers come together and carry out various activities, were generally built by the rich people of the village. This topic was chosen in order to convey the village rooms, which have an important place in Turkish folk architecture, to future generations. The most important reason for studying the village chambers, one of the most important structures of Turkish folk architecture in the Yozgat region, is to pioneer the introduction of these structures, which have not received the necessary attention. It is aimed to unearth these structures, many of which are about to collapse, through an academic study, before they disappear. On this occasion, it will contribute to the protection and due care of the village chambers, which are the pioneer structures of this still standing folk architecture. About the village rooms in this old settlement; The construction history of the rooms, their plan types, architectural features, decorations, construction materials and techniques used, the repairs they have undergone and their current situation, as well as the activities carried out in the rooms, have been examined in detail. Village rooms, which have an important place in Turkish folk architecture, have disappeared today due to certain reasons. For this reason, it is aimed to record and protect the village chambers in this study. An effort has been made to reveal the importance of village rooms, which are cultural heritage, in terms of art history, both in Yozgat architecture and in Turkish architecture.
