Abstract (EN)

Death is the only unvarying reality of human beings from the moment of existence, even thoygh the setting and time alter. The pratices made at the time of death and afterwards establish the tangible remains for the science of archeology. These remains are importanat the behavior of people and human communities in tombs and burial areas, burial styles and finds found in tombs. The traces of the burial and commemoration rituals of the communities living in the region gained meaning with the findings by investigaing four archaeological sites consisting of graves and burial areas dated to the Early Bronze Age in the Upper Tigris Basin. There seems to be local differences in the grave sites, locations and counts in the basin. When evaluated in term of grave finds and grave types, although they show common features, many differences have also been identified. While dealing with burial customs, it is aimed to make an evaluation in itself and then to determine the similarities and differences with the nearby geography. Although the tomb typology and tomb find Show similarities with the Euphrates and Habur Basins, it is understood that there are differences in terms of diversity. It is understood that the region has similar characteristics with Mesopotamia, Eastern Anatolia and Northern Syria and is in a social relationship network.
