Abstract (EN)
In this study, the studies to be carried out to increase the energy absorption of negative Poisson's ratio materials, also known as auxetic materials, are investigated. For this purpose, a new auxetic structure model was created using the Re-entrant structure. The inclined sticks of the Re-entrant cell in this new structure were connected to each other with rods and the effect of the rods on the strength to force was examined. At the same time, by changing the thickness of these rods connecting the sticks, a comparison was made between the force-displacement values and the energy absorption capacity of the structures was examined. The parts to be analyzed were drawn using Solidworks program. ANSYS 19.1 program was used to perform the analysis and simulations of the structures. The values of the part with a rod thickness of 1 mm were compared with the part without a rod in its structure and with a rod thickness of 0,8 mm. The mass value is %2,85 and %0,5 more respectively. The SYT value is %60,87 and %22,8 higher, respectively, while the SEA value is %41,09 and %17,84 higher, respectively.
