Abstract (EN)

This thesis investigates the mechanical properties and microstructural changes of X210Cr12 cold work tool steel under various heat treatment parameters. Different cooling methods, including oil, air, and furnace cooling, were applied, and their effects on hardness, microstructure, and carbide formations were experimentally evaluated. Microhardness analyses highlighted the impact of cooling rates, with the highest hardness values achieved through oil quenching. XRD analyses identified the formation of different carbides, such as Cr3C2 and Cr7C3. In conclusion, heat treatment parameters play a critical role in optimizing material properties, providing significant potential improvements for the industrial application of X210Cr12 steel.
