Abstract (EN)
Computer technology progresses rapidly in parallel with the developing technology. New methods have also been brought by the developments. Huge volumes of data is stored, processed and communicated in the digital platform every day. As most of these data are digital images, there is a gradual increase in the need for storage and communication in addition to various imaging problems occur. Image processing is the performance of the operations realized by the human vision system in the computer platform. Image processing applications can be grouped as the digitalization of the image, improving it, identification of the coordinates, filtering and classification. In this dissertation study, it is aimed to examine the cracks on the concrete surfaces occurred due to exposing the concrete samples to different temperatures through these applications. In the direction of these aims, the concretes exposed to high temperatures were examined and the cracks occur were tried to be identified using the Matlab computer program. As a result of this study, the sizes of the cracks were measured using the Matlab computer program depending on the temperature degrees being exposed and compared through concrete endurance tests. In this dissertation study conducted, the concrete mortar prepared for the experimental study was poured into molds of 10 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm and kept in a watery ambient for 28 days and ignited in the furnace set to different gradual temperature stages. In the continuation of the study, the images of the concrete samples exposed to those temperatures were caught using JVC GC-PX100 Digital Full HD Video Camera + Photograph Machine with different zoom settings. In addition, geometrical figures were drawn and A4 printouts of the created reference document was obtained. That document was also caught from the same distance and zoom settings with the concrete sample. Later the images obtained were transmitted to the Matlab computer program and the images were processed. Considering the reference values, the lengths of the cracks were measured and then compared with the concrete endurance results.
