113 8- ABSTRACT This dissertation mainly focuses on how the students, who live at the dormitories connected to Higher Education Credit and Accommodation Council, spend their tree time, and tie opportunities these students are given to by the Council. The recreational hobbits of the students, their hopes, personnel characteristics, and the potentiality of the dormitories for free time activities are analyzed It is obtained at the end of the research that the university students who live at dormitories are not provided sufficient recreative areas; the personnel, who work at those dormitories, are not interested in free time activities and they do not lead the students toward the recreatie areas, as a result, the students' needs for free time are compersated by private sectors. Consefuentiy, in order to make the students spend their free time and energy more effectively, the more equipment, facilities, and educated are required
