The evaluation of the educational messages in Yunus Emre's works

Literature work are effective and crucial ways of training children. Literature works provide children with favorable contribution thanks to educational messages. The aim of this study is to evaluate educational messages of Yunus Emre's works. The educational messages inferred from the works have been found by examining the works with a qualitative research technique. After the analysis was completed , 80 different educational messages have been detected. They have been categorized into 5 different groups by considering the similarities and differences. The ways of presenting the messages have been considered whether directly or indirectly. 407 educational messages have been found in his works. 302 of them supports self- development, 35 of them are about social development, 15 of them are about universal opinions, 52 of them are about religious development and 3 of the educational messages are about supporting the idea of national thougth. while 85 educational messages are given directly, 322 of them are given indirectly in the works. The most frequent edicational message is "self-development" topic while the most rarely presented message is the messages that support the national thought. Yunus emre is an important writer who not only appeals to adults, but also appeals to children by contributing their self- development. Divan and Risaletü'n Nushiyye are the basic Works which help children's development with the educational messages in them. As a result, it can be concluded that it is crucial to use the works of Yunus Emre by parents, educators and trainers while raising children who have good morals.
