Abstract (EN)
One of the main problems of Turkish children living abroad is communication. An increasing population also brings with it a generation that is about to be assimilated. Language is one of the basic elements that make up the society, which is the most important tool to keep the intergenerational communication bond intact and transfer it. A society that knows its language will also know its history and culture. A society that forgets its language will never know the past that it belongs. Turkish citizens living abroad show differences according to the countries and geographies they are living. There are many visible differences between a Turk in Germany and a Turk in France. Likewise, besides Turks living in different regions in France, we can notice differences between a Turk living in the same region, even in the same province, between someone living in a city and a village. In this thesis, we tried to study why Turks living abroad have difficulties in speaking Turkish, the program, which was supportted by the Presidency for Turks Abroad. Based on the principle of analyzing life and behavior, the research aims to identify and evaluate current examples of Turks in the East France. The research started with a literature review. In this research, participation, observation and interview methods were applied during the collect of the data. In this analysis of the data, word system and statistical analysis programs were used. As a result of this study, regarding the learning situation of Turkish children's mother tongue, it presents suggestions for the solution of Turkish children's problems, in the use of Turkish language.
