Abstract (EN)

Liquefaction is an important factor that leads to soil displacement during an earthquake. This incident causes harmful circumstances to emerge in the buildings. This event leads to the emergence of damaged situations in the structures. Liquefaction is the phenomenon in which soils containing sand and silt, saturated with water, show a viscous behavior as a result of the action of the water in it, with the effect of the dynamic forces that arise during the earthquake and repetitively, and that the soil materials and water rise to the surface together. Predicted studies, both in the field and in the laboratory, have revealed the existence of liquefaction potential in clean sands, sandy, silty soils and silty soils without plastic properties. In this research, soil liquefaction and applications in Konarlı District, Aşkarbeyli District and Arsuz District of İskenderun District of Hatay Province were aimed. In all soundings made in the study area, the same levels were passed at similar depths. The foundation soil is defined according to the unified soil classification system in the laboratory result documents. YASS has been detected at different depths. In our studies, there are results with and without the risk of liquefaction in the ground.
