Abstract (EN)
This study aimed to examine the relationship between mental workload and quality of work life among healthcare professionals in healthcare institutions. The study was descriptive in nature and employed a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of healthcare professionals working in public hospitals in Turkey, and the sample included 417 participants. Data were collected through an online survey between April and June 2025. In addition to a form gathering participants' personal and sociodemographic information, the Mental Workload Scale and the Quality of Work Life Scale were used. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 26.0. Cronbach's alpha coefficients were calculated to assess internal consistency, and confirmatory factor analysis was conducted using SPSS AMOS 21 to evaluate construct validity, with goodness-of-fit indices reported. Correlation and regression analyses were conducted to examine the relationships between variables. The results indicated a low-level, negative, and significant relationship between mental workload and quality of work life, with mental workload being a low-level, negative, and significant predictor of quality of work life. The findings were discussed in comparison with the existing literature, and recommendations were provided for researchers and practitioners. Keywords: Health Services, Healthcare Worker, Mental Workload, Quality of Work Life.
