Abstract (EN)
Hypocritical behavior is a form of behavior that is not welcomed by people from an individual point of view. People are expected to be consistent in their words and actions. If this expectation is not met, it can lead to negative behaviors between individuals and the end of relationships between individuals. This situation is also valid for organizations. Organizations have to fulfill the promises and decisions they make to their employees, customers and other stakeholders. Hypocritical behavior of organizations can have negative organizational consequences by negatively affecting employee loyalty, motivation, job satisfaction and organizational trust. In addition, it may cause the image and prestige of the organization to be shaken and organizational trust to disappear in terms of external stakeholders. In the literature, there are studies on the relationship between organizational hypocrisy and organizational justice, organizational happiness, cynicism, organizational gossip, organizational trust, and these studies are generally conducted on educational institutions. The concept of intention to leave refers to the emergence of an employee's desire and subsequent actions to end their relationship with the workplace. It is categorized into two groups: voluntary and involuntary. The intention to leave has both positive and negative consequences, both from an organizational and an individual perspective. This research was conducted on chain market employees operating in the private sector and the perception of organizational hypocrisy of employees was tried to be measured by qualitative research method. A total of 25 employees of various chain markets operating in Isparta province were asked the questions determined by the researcher through in-depth interview method and as a result, 56% of the participants stated that chain markets keep their promises and 60% of the participants are considering leaving their job.
