Zonguldak Alaplı'da Alevism

In this study, it is tried to research and examine where the Alevis living in Alaplı district of Zonguldak province come from, their belief styles, and their unique moral and cultural living conditions. Alevism, which is an important subject in the field of History of Islamic Sects and it has been extensively researched by people who work on the path of science. Accordingly, our aim is to lay the foundation of this religious/political formation on the Prophet Muhammad. It is not intended to touch upon the issues that date back to the death of the Prophet. Alaplı Alevis who found a living space in Anatolia and tried to protect their essence, were examined using the descriptive research method. An attempt was made to get to know the local Alevis, who were the aspirants of the Güvenç Abdal quarry, through the interview technique, with the support of twenty resource persons. In order not to lose objectivity in these interviews, voice recordings were made with the consent of the source persons, and the recordings were deciphered and analyzed, and then transferred to a word file. This thesis has four chapters except the introduction and conclusion. These sections were categorized by collecting the answers we received from the questions we asked in the interviews and the information we obtained through observation. Firstly, the geographical and demographic structure of the study area and the historical origins of Alaplı Alevis are mentioned. In the second part; The concept of worship and rituals were discussed and their institutions were tried to be explained. In the third part; it is focused on their social and cultural life and moral rules. In the fourth chapter, the problems faced by Alaplı Alevis and solutions to these problems are presented. In the final part, a general evaluation was made using the findings of our field research.
