Hazırlık sınıfında Arapça eğitim programı: Sorunlar ve çözümler

This study purely deals with the analysis of Arabic language teaching programs in preparatory year at the faculties of Sharia and Islamic Sciences/ disciplines in Turkey in order to identify the components of these programs and survey teachers difference of opinions and mutual attitudes towords them. Then to reveal lacunas and gaps that separate the field reality of these programs from the scientific foundations and theoretical determinants and quality criterions and to provide genuine information that represents this reality. This study contains four chapters: In the first chapter the researcher dealt with the theoretical side of the study by presenting previous studies, the description of the development stages of Arabic language teaching in Turkey and showwing the most important components programs of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers through educational theories and scientific foundations. He also talked about the importance of analysing programs and studying various about them. xiv In the second chapter, the researcher reviewed his field study, and showed his methodology and the procedures that he took in building the two reseach tools: Program analysis form and teachers opinions questionnaire, and Statistical treatment methods for analyzing the study data. In the third chapter, the researcher presented the results of the field study analysis, discussed them and compared them with the scientific foundations in building Arabic language teaching programs. In the fourth chapter, in order to fill the lacunas and gaps in the preparatory year programs that were exposed in the field study, the researcher presented a summary of the most important results. He also made appropriate recommendations and put forward effective suggestions. What distinguishes this case study is that it was built on scientific grounds and field foundations. In addition to that, it is one of the few studies that dealt with analyzing preparatory year programs in a more spaciously and comprehensively. Through the two field research tools that covered most sides of these programs.
