Zerkeşî'nin el-Burhân fî 'ulûmi'l-Kur'ân ve el-Bahru'l-muhît fî usûli'l-fıkh adlı eserlerindeki ortak konular: Karşılaştırmalı bir inceleme

This thesis aimed to research the two books of Imam Badr al-Din al-Zarkashi (d. 794 AH): Al-Burhan fi Ulum al-Qur'an, and Al-Bahr al-Muhit fi Usul al-Fiqh, to analyze and compare common issues between the two books, namely: abrogation, decisive and similar, general and specific, absolute and restricted, and determining an opinion. AlZarkashi in it. To achieve the purpose of the study, the historical descriptive approach was followed when researching the biography and scientific biography of Imam AlZarkashi, the study also followed the steps of the comparative descriptive approach to study some common issues between the two books. The study concluded with results, the most important of which are: al- Burhan book is considered one of the most important sources of Qur'anic sciences, because it includes precise topics, such as the methodology of the science of interpretation, the science of abrogator and abrogated, and others. AlBahr Al-Muhit book is also considered a big resource in Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence, in which Al-Zarkashi quoted the sayings of scholars, especially the four schools of Jurisprudence, and he was very careful to present the opinions of the Shafi'is, and his book is considered a comprehensive explanation of jurisprudential concepts and terminology. In both books, he took care to present the sayings of scholars within the limits of the terminology of both sciences with a comprehensive explanation. In AlBurhan, he dealt with the definition of the decisive and the similar, and divided them into sections, then mentioned the benefit of these divisions, while in Al-Bahr Al-Muhit he talked about the meaning of the similar, and quoted the sayings of the scholars, and also commented on their differences in these matters. The case. As well as public and private, Imam Al-Zarkashi spoke in Al-Bahr Al-Muhit about them in a detailed and precise manner. He devoted a section in which he talked at length about the general and its meaning, and mentioned the formulas of the general, then devoted another section to the specific. In Al-Burhan he did not concern himself with these details. Imam Al-Zarkashi's study of common issues was distinguished in al-Burhan in many things, including: Briefly mentioning the issue without analysis or discussion, as his interest was focused on the applied aspects more than the aspect of theorizing and rooting, so he cared about application and representation, and applying those fundamental rules to the Holy Qur'an, as appeared, for example, in his study of all the verses in which abrogation was mentioned. As for his book al-Bahr Al-Muhit, he- along with many scholars of the principles of jurisprudence- was concerned with setting definitions, explaining and discussing the sayings of scholars, and stating the precautions for the definition. He also notes the lack of application in many issues, and his sufficiency in applying to the Sunnah of the Prophet.The study also referred to the issues that Imam Al-Zarkashi added in AlBurhan, such as: the importance of the knowledge of abrogation and abrogation, and the works therein, and the division of surahs according to the abrogation they included, and others. As for the issues that he added in Al-Bahr Al-Muhit, and were unique to them, such as: the pillars of abrogation, its conditions, and the conflict of Public with private, and many others. It can be said that Imam Al-Zarkashi understood in his two books theoretical foundation and practical application, so his work was comprehensive and of great benefit to specialists in jurisprudence and interpretation.
