This study aimed to investigate the judgements of acting and movies in Islamic jurisprudence and Iraqi law, because art has a great influence on people, It is run by a group that does not abide by the provisions of Islamic Sharia, While the media may be a powerful weapon in calling to God, sometimes it exceeds the power of arms, This requires a clear doctrinal view of the details about the work in media. The nature of the research requires that the researcher follow the comparative analytical inductive approach: The inductive approach was when collecting jurisprudential information about acting and movies from jurisprudential sources and legal materials in the Iraqi constitution, as for the analytical approach, it was when analyzing the texts and the opinions of jurists, and the opinions of jurists on the subject, and the comparative when balancing the opinions of jurists and jurists and indicating the points of agreement and disagreement. The most important conclusion of the study were: That the rulings on acting and movies are among the late issues in jurisprudence, and that most of the opinions agreed that they are permissible if there is an public interest in them and they are within the limits of etiquette and honorable morals. It is not in and of itself forbidden, but rather it may be a means of calling to God, because of its strong influence in society, and that the Iraqi law agrees with jurisprudence in the necessity of adhering to the morals of society, as it set articles that control the work of filmmakers and plays, although the controls of the law differ from the provisions of jurisprudence in the details of covering the private parts, open relationships between men and women, marriage and divorce of actors, and others that are prohibited by the divine law and permitted by the civil law.
