Burhaneddin İbrahim B. Mustafa el-Halebinin Tuhfetu'l-Ahyar ale'd-Durri'l-Muhtar isimli eserinin 'Elezan' babından 'Yecherü'l-İmam' bölümüne kadar tahkik ve incelenmesi - An investigation and study from Babu al-Adhan to Yajharu al-Imam chapters of a manuscript "Tuhfat al-Akhayyar ala al-Dur al-Mukhtar"

This thesis is considered as a study and documented scientific investigation of a portion of a manuscript entitled "Tuhfat al-Akhayyar Ala al-Dur al-Mukhtar" which written by the author Sheikh Ibrahim bin Mustafa bin Ibrahim al-Halabi al-Madhari who is among the scholars of twelfth-century AH. The importance of this thesis appears in that it is an investigation of a book written by a distinguished scholar among the scholars of the capital of the Ottoman caliphate and Egyptian lands. The book "Tuhfat al-Akhyar" is considered as one of the first annotations to the book "al-Durr al-Mukhtar Sharhu Tanwir al-Absar" written by the author Sheikh Ala al-Din al-Haskafi". Thus, this book became the mother and main source of the Hanafi's sources for who came after that. Therefore, the great scholars of the Hanafi school paid attention to it and were keen to benefit from it. Sheikh Ibrahim al-Halabi worked in his book "Tuhfat al-Akhayyar" to investigate and scrutinize the issues of "al-Dur al-Mukhtar" through his explanation, inference, criticizing, correcting, clarifying on the issues and defining their idioms or correcting their phrases to be the meaning is easy to understand. The investigation of this thesis was based on comparing two manuscript copies with the original copy which was the approved one. The verses were attributed to their places in the Holy Qur'an. The hadiths of the Prophet were also attributed to their books. The sayings that mentioned by the author were investigated. The mentioned scholars had a short biography. The mentioned sources were defined shortly with the biography of their author. The punctuation marks were put in their appropriate places. The vague words and jurisprudential terms were explained, and everything is related to the scientific investigation procedures have done. In addition, I have prepared a study about the author of "Tanwir al-Absar" book, the author of "Sharh al-Durr al-Mukhtar" book and the author of "Tuhfat al-Akhayyar" book as I shed light on his scientific personality by explaining his scientific approach, and introducing the most important sources he adopted, etc. I ask Allah Almighty to give me the sincerity and acceptance.
