Abstract (EN)

This study examines the usulī principles related to the interpretation of texts in the book "Ahkām al-Qur'ān" by Imam Abu Bakr al-Jassas, who is considered one of the most prominent scholars of the Hanafi school and a cornerstone of legal interpretation. The aim of this thesis is to extract, classify, and scientifically compare the usulī principles that al-Jassas relied upon in his interpretation of the rulings of the Qur'an. The study begins by highlighting the importance of usulī principles in regulating the methods of legal deduction and protecting the mujtahid from error. It then introduces al-Jassas, his social and intellectual context, and his usulī interpretive methodology. The thesis uses inductive, analytical, and comparative methods, examining the Qur'anic texts as interpreted by al-Jassas and linking them to the usulī principles upon which he based his legal reasoning. Through this, the study emphasizes the close relationship between usulī principles and legal interpretation, showing how al-Jassas contributed to establishing a practical methodology for usul al-fiqh in the interpretation of the Qur'an. The significance of this study lies in shedding light on an area that has not been sufficiently explored by researchers, highlighting al-Jassas's innovative approach in linking jurisprudence to the Qur'anic text.
