Katâde es-Sedûsî'nin vaaz tefsiri yöntemi ve örnekleri

This research addresses the method of exhortative tafsir (interpretation) in early Islam. It is a foundational, descriptive, and analytical study of one of the tafsir methods that facilitated the understanding of the meanings of the Qur'an for the general public. The research aims to answer the following questions: What is the definition of exhortative tafsir? What is its significance? What are its principles? And what are its styles? The study presents examples of exhortative tafsir from the Qur'an itself, as well as from the Prophet's Sunnah (peace be upon him), the Companions, and the Followers (may Allah be pleased with them). The research also examines the great Tabi'i scholar Qatadah Al-Sadusi (may Allah have mercy on him) as a model, highlighting how he applied the exhortative method in tafsir. It provides examples from his Qur'anic interpretations and analyzes them. Additionally, the research introduces Imam Qatadah Al-Sadusi, mentions scholars' critical views about him, and discusses his stance against deviant sects of his time. It also responds to accusations that he was a Qadari (one who denies predestination) and a Mudallis (a narrator whose reports are accepted only if he explicitly states having heard them). The research consists of three chapters, followed by a conclusion summarizing findings and recommendations for the researcher, scholars, and all those interested in making the Qur'an a guide for their lives.
