This thesis is looking for the role of the Coptic Church during the twentieth century and the effects of this role on the Church people, and on the Egyptian society in general. In its first chapter, the treatise dealt with the definition of the Coptic Church, its status throughout the ages, its various beliefs, and its denominations. In the second chapter, the study dealt with the social role of the Coptic Church, through the establishment of schools, hospitals, and shelters, and through the bishopric of public and social services, also through the dissemination of culture, through interest in education, especially Sunday schools, and interest in those affiliated with the monastic way. As well as the social role of the Coptic Church through the Coptic press and publishing houses. In the third chapter, the researcher dealt with the economic role of the Coptic Church, where he presented the financial resources of the Coptic Church represented in the endowments of the Church, bishoprics and monasteries, and through the establishment of various factories, workshops and pharmacies, and the ownership of large farms to grow all kinds of crops and fruits, and the foreign aid that the Church receives from abroad, and the role of the Council Milli of the Coptic Orthodox, and how it represents of the economic and financial role of the Church. The fourth chapter investigates at the political role of the Egyptian Church throughout the different eras. This study clarified the Church's position on the most important events of the twentieth century, such as the 1919 AD Revolution and the July 23 Revolution in year 1952. The researcher here presented the condition of the Egyptian Church with during the era of Gamal Abdel Nasser, during the era of Sadat, and during the era of Mubarak.
