Al-Şeyh Haci Muhammad Ahund ve Tefsir-i Abidi adlı kitabındaki metodu

This research aims to uncover the biography of Sheikh Haji Mohammad Akhund Abadi and his approach in his book "Tafsir Abadi." It is worth investigating and studying because it was written in a language other than Arabic, specifically for the inhabitants of Turkmenistan and in their language, tailored to their cultural level, with the purpose of elucidating the words of Allah and conveying them to people. The goal of this study is to introduce Sheikh Haji Mohammad Akhund and explain his approach in his book "Tafsir Abadi." The research is structured into an introduction, three chapters, and a conclusion. The first chapter explores the biography of Sheikh Abadi, his scholarly life, his famous teachers and students, and the services he rendered in the dissemination of religion and knowledge. Additionally, it discusses Sheikh Abadi's beliefs in theology, jurisprudence, and his Sufi inclination. The reason for writing his Tafsir and its impact is also presented, along with the sources he relied on while composing the book. Furthermore, the study includes biographies of scholars who were contemporaries, both teachers and students, with an introduction to the geographic locations mentioned in the research. In the second chapter, Sheikh Abadi's approach in his Tafsir is discussed in general terms, followed by a detailed examination of his commentary on matters related to theology, legal rulings, interpretation through narration (Hadith), and opinion (Ra'y). It also delves into the sciences of the Quran. The chapter concludes by applying his approach to a chapter of the Quran, specifically Surah An-Nur. The conclusion summarizes the key findings, highlighting that Sheikh Abadi's approach in his Tafsir was exhortative, aiming to touch the hearts of his listeners with a straightforward style. Consequently, some methodological errors are forgivable when considering the goal of reaching his audience. The recommendations are outlined, followed by the list of sources and references.
