Abstract (EN)

The present study is a sort of stylistic study that has tackled the literature of journeys in the thirteenth century presentig Abu Al-Thana Al-Alusi as a model. Accordingly, the present research has been divided into: an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. Starting with the introduction, the researcher has spotted light on the nature of journeys accompanying the human being and how the Arab and İslamic life has been inclded in those journeys along ages. The reasons and motives have been identified in view of this. The second chapter: the researcher has introduced the life of Abu Al-Thana' Al-Alusi, his works and his literary status, and then has introduced his nomadic works. İn the first chapter, the researcher has put forward the definition of travel lierature both linguistically and idiomatically, exploring the characteristics and advantages of the literature of those journeys as well as the motives that might lie behind them. The researcher has also stated several nomadic works given by Baghdad scholars that support this study . Moeover, the researcher, in the the third chapter, has tackled the technical methods in Al-Alusi's journey books, sheding light on the interesting narative constuction and the rhetorical mehods employed in them. The researcher has concluded his writing by mentioning the most important results reached through his study of this literary art, especially in the 13thcentury AH in Baghdad.
