This dissertation serves as an examination into a book on Hadith Terminology written by a scholar who lived in the 9th Hijri century: Amin al-Husseini, commonly known as Amir Badshah. Hadith Terminology is one of the most important Islamic disciplines, which is rooted in its function through which we can ascertain or dismiss a certain Hadith narration, as well as which narrations (Marfoua' Mawqouf, Maqtoua') are traced to the prophet. The book in question is an abridgment of the book, Sharh al-Tabesrq Wa al-Tathkira by al-Hafez al-Iraqi. Badshah managed to abridge the original work while maintaining its spirit. In that, the reader can gain a satisfactory understanding without the need to read the rather lengthy original work. Considering the value of the said book, I set out to find original manuscripts, and I managed to find two full copies written in legible handwriting with few errors. I based my examination on one of the two while using the second if a need arose. I divided my labor into two facets – research in which I tackled hadith narration reported by al-Hafez al-Iraqi, Ibn al-Salah, and Amir Badshah. I detailed their names, births, upbringing, most notable students, bibliography, and historical foothold. I then gave an overview of the book in question, its historic tracings, and approach. I explained why a proper name for the book would be "Mukhtasar Sharh al-Tabsiera Wa al-Tathkira". Afterwards, I gave a description of the manuscripts I used while detailing the merits of each copy and explaining my reasoning for using the copy "s" with providing examples of each copy. The second facet is examination and remarks in which I copied the texts of the manuscript originally adopted and cross-examined it with the second one to pinpoint the differences as footnotes. I made sure to examine and produce an adequate text that can be easily read with no confusion. I also accredited the Quranic verses, Hadiths, and other adages (Athar). Additionally, I wrote a biography for the figures relevant to the text and accredited all saying by going back to their source whenever available while providing explanation when needed.
