The concepts of Strong and Cognate are among the most important subjects of Comment and Quran sciences since they relate to some important subjects of Quran, the self and qualities of the Supreme Being (J.J.) being in the first place. This study was prepared to explain the meaning and kinds of supremacy by taking into consideration the heresies of those who get interested in unnecessary words in these subjects especially written on the supremacy of the Supreme Being, and the difference between the method of the Followers of Sunnah and the other methods in terms of the verses expressing the meaning of supremacy and height, and also the doubts against the dogma about the sensorial properties of the Supreme Being are discussed. This thesis consists of a preface, an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. - Preface: Includes the reason for selecting this study, the difficulties experienced during the study, the previous studies, and the method of the study. - Introduction: Includes the explanation of the name, definitions of some terms, and the boundaries of the study. - Chapter One: Includes the opinions of the comment scientists about the verses expressing Supremacy and the others' opinions, and comparison between the expressions of the two sides, explanation of true expressions complying with the language, and explanation of the verse (The Compassionate is settled in the ninth heaven). - Chapter Two: Explains the Strong and the Cognate, the method of the Followers of Sunnah on this subject, their innocence about denying the adjectives, and the others' methods - Chapter Three: Discussed the opinions of Muslim ancestors about exoneration and rejection of impossibility, responding to those who show impossible obvious meanings of texts, meaning of the statement "it is necessary to perceive the verses as they descended", the reason for them saying this sentence, and explanation of the provision about those who embody it. - Conclusion: Includes the summary of the study and the important conclusions.
