Abstract (EN)

In the literature, it has been proven that anthropometric properties are the most important determinant of swimming performance in adolescent age swimming athletes. However, there are few studies evaluating the physiological, anthropometric and biomotor properties together for both genders. The aim of this study Bio motoric, anthropometric and physiological parameters affecting maximal swimming performance in swimmers of 11-12 years. A total of 50 volunteers participated in the study,.(19 female and 31 male, aged between 11 and 12 years, who had a mean training period of 3 years and 6 units of regular training per week). Anthropometric characteristics (body weight and height, arm span etc), biomotor properties (dynamic balance, leg and back strength,), some physiological characteristics (pulmonary functions and rating of perceived exertion) and 100 meter maximal swimming performance of the volunteers were measured. All measured parameters were compared with 100 m maximum swimming performance. All datas were evaluated with SPSS 24.0 program. Pearson Moments Product Correlation for Comparisons; for the comparisons between groups, unrelated samples t-test was used for the correlation of nonparametric methods. Mann-Whitney U test was used for comparisons between groups. The significance level was accepted at P <0.05 and P <0.01. As a result of this study; it was found that the predominant predictor of sprint performance in 11-12 year-old swimmers was anthropometric features, and that the volume of forced expiratory volume from respiratory functions and dynamic balance an important parameter in the estimation and improvement of sprint swimming performance.
