Abstract (EN)

Proverbs and idioms are short but meaningful phrases that give clues about Turkish language and culture. These products, which are very important in terms of grammar, semantics and literature, are also valuable parts of the Turkish language. The three great poets of the 14th century, Kadı Burhaneddin, Ahmedî and Hoca Dehhânî, who were the beginning of the Divan poetry, which constitutes a large part of the Turkish culture and art world, also benefited from the idioms and proverbs very and effectively. In the thesis consisting of four chapters, "Introduction" in the first chapter, information about the life and divan of the poets in the second chapter was given; In the third part, proverbs and idioms in the sofas are examined and a conclusion is reached in the fourth part. In this study, the effect of proverbs and idioms in the poems of three important poets of Divan poetry was tried to be shown.
