A questionnaire was used to determine the Methods of weight loss of athletes and motoric tests were performed to determine the effects of rapid weight loss. In the study, Anket Fast Weight Loss Behavior Evaluation Questionnaire 'developed by Kurt and Sağıroğlu (2015) was used as data collection tool. Then, the athletes were asked to drop the weight to the competition weight in 15 days and motoric tests were performed. The tests were carried out in three stages, the first stage before weight loss, the second stage after weight loss and the third stage after 15 hours recovery. The collected data were entered into the SPSS (version 20) package program on the personal computer and comparisons were made between the descriptive statistics and the means, and the measurements of the group at different times were compared with Paired Sample T test. Significance level was accepted as 0.05 for all statistical methods. The most preferred methods of athletes are; hunger and wearing nylon sauna tracksuits, skipping meals, training in the increased temperature hall, training in the increased temperature hall, fluid restriction and excess, severe training, entering the sauna, using fat burner, uniform nutrition and laxative use was observed. Athletes complain of excessive fatigue, excessive hunger and thirst, unwillingness to exercise, decrease in physical performance, changes in mental status, insomnia, difficulty in perception and decreased attention When we compare the results of athletes' paw strength, long jump, standing ball, back and leg strength, anaerobic jogging, auditory reaction and shuttle running measurement results, a statistically significant difference was found. When flexibility, speed running and visual reaction measurements were compared, no statistically significant difference was found. As a result; In this study, it was found that when judo suffered weight loss in a short time, their performance was generally negatively affected.
