Abstract (EN)

In this study, the use of allegorical words by divan poets such as Adlî, Ahmed Paşa, Avnî, Hamdullah Hamdi, Necâtî Bey and Şeyhî in 15th century was investigated. The purpose of this research is to show how they assigned different meaning to the common words with the influence of imagination in the 15th century which is a period of development of the Ottoman Empire in terms of culture and literature and how rich imagination they had. The study consists of preface, introduction and two parts. The topic of the study, the methods and techniques are mentioned in the preface. Information about the general features of the 15th century, divan literature and divan poets are given in the first phase of the study, "Introduction". In this way, it is aimed to visualize the development environment of divan literature and the social conditions of the century in our minds. Moreover, it is stated that The Sultans who were divan poets attached importance to scholarship, scholar, literature, especially poets and poems. In the second phase of the study, we firstly illustrated the allegorical words which we analyzed in the divan poetries with global rating and afterwards with subtitles. In this analysis, we both gathered common concepts in divan poetries and tried to explain which poets used these concepts.
