In this thesis, Abdullatif Karamânî's work Adab-ı Menâzil and Kınalızâde Ali Efendi's Ahlak-ı Âlâi work, both of which are 16th century authors, were compared to reach information about children in 16th century Ottoman society. By making use of these works and various sources of the period, the Ottoman society's perception of children and childhood and the ideals around which children were raised were mentioned.
