Abstract (EN)

In this work prepared as a master thesis, classical Divan poetry, which belongs to Bâkî, Fuzûlî, Hayâlî Bey, Nev?î, Taşlıcalı Yahyâ, Usûlî, Zatî ve Muhibbî called as 16th century classical ottoman poets, was analyzed and it was tried to figure out the sample couplets cited from how and which sense of relevances of the rose was used in this poetry. Firstly, it was focused on the history of rose and its status and significance in our culture, then it was elaborated the status of rose in popular culture and sufi culture, and on the whole it was mentioned the usage in the classical Divan poetry in terms of various traits. Some of the sample couplets cited from the classical Divan poetry were analyzed in terms of both sense and literary arts. It was specified how the envisagement and usage of rose included the classical Divan poetry under the title of ?The Envisagement and Usage of Rose?. The subjects idendified at the end of the work were indicated in the ?Conclusion? part. Keywords: 16th century Classical Turkish Literature, Divan, rose.
