Particulars and structural characteristics of the Ehl-i Hiref-i Hâssa organization in the ottoman state in the 17th century

Abstract (EN)

The ehl-i hiref-i hâssa organization, which pioneered the artistic trends at the time, kept the art of the Ottoman unity and its development despite its broad boundaries. Established within the Ottoman State and leading the arts, this organization has brought out unique products reaching from the book arts, jewelery, weaving, wood and mining arts to many inland journals. The administrative structure in 17th century of the ehl-i hiref-i hâssa organization which had lasted for almost four centuries, functioning, working spaces, wages and arts branches connected to this organization has constituted the main issue of studying. In this century, about 185 salary books, which are the main source for the ehl-i hiref-i hâssa organization, have been examined and it has been detected that this is a turning point for the ehl-i hiref-i hâssa organization of the 17 th century.
