Özet (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between sexual myths and sexual satisfaction in women between the ages of 18-55. In the study, whether there is a relationship between the demographic characteristics of the individuals and sexual myth and sexual satisfaction, which is considered as dependent variables, and whether the groups formed differ or not with these dependent variables were examined. The sample of the research was carried out with the participation of 208 female individuals with active sexual life from the provinces of Istanbul, Batman, Adana and Aydın, which have different cultural structures within themselves. The Turkish validity and reliability study was conducted by Tuğrul et al. (1993) and the Golombok-Rust Sexual Satisfaction Scale (GRCDO)-Female Form and Gölbası et al. The Sexual Myths Scale, which was developed by (2016) and whose validity and reliability studies were conducted, was used. By applying the Cronbach alpha reliability study, it was seen that the alpha values found had sufficient reliability. According to the research findings, no significant relationship was found between sexual myths and sexual satisfaction. While it is seen that the participants with primary education have higher sexual myth total scores compared to high school, undergraduate and graduate students; sexual satisfaction total scores do not differ significantly according to educational status. On the other hand, it is seen that the masturbation and sexual satisfaction scores of women in the age group over 35 are higher than those in the 18-25 age group. The findings were discussed on the basis of the relevant literature.
