Abstract (EN)
Within the period that we have investigated, Ottoman Empire had to deal with natural disasters too apart from political and administrative problems. These natural incidents, besides tangible damages, had caused loss of lives. Disasters that happened remained not only regional but also effected different regions. When examined, the disasters happened in this period can be observed to be diversive. These are generally eartquakes, flood, famine and drought, storm, frost incidents, grasshopper invasion or epidemic illnesses. These cases can be seen in different period of times in Ottoman Empire. Although the state had attempted to struggle these events, the conditions and opportunities were not sufficient enough.
