Görele in the 19th century (1850-1900)

In this thesis, we have studied the political, economical and social aspects of District of Görele during the period of 1850-1900. First of all, the historical developments, which what happened in the district begining from the Rescript of Gülhane, have been written down chronoligacally. Görele's administrative division, population, public order, education, trade, agriculture and etc. such developments were examined. In this study, Görele has been investigated with archival documents and yearbooks from all sides since the second half of the 19th century. In this way, it was tried to reveal the change and development of Görele in social, administrative and economic conditions. As a result of the research, information about many administrative and social institutions such as sub-district directorate and district governorate, municipal organization, land registry office, financial and religious institutions constituting the administrative organization of Görele.
