Japan, having completed its development technologically, militarily and financially in a short term after the second term of nineteenth century, appeared as a regional force in Far East. Inhibited on the Balkans and Bosphorus by England and France, Japan desired new colonies by tending to the Far East. These political conflicts of interests confronted Japan with Russia.1904–1905 Russo–Japanese War was fought as Russia wanted to build Trans–Sibiria railway in Manchuria; and also argument of advantage at sovereignty on Korea. Japan, organized well militarily, politically and socially was supported by England. Russia and its central administration wasn't organized well and deprived of public opinion's support. This war ended officially with Portsmouth Treaty by interfering of USA in the fifth of September 1905. Japan appeared as an imperialistic force by winning the war. Japanese great victory made big repercussion on public opinion. Japanese victory was appreciated with great happiness by Ottoman Empire, Asian and Muslim countries. By the positive atmosphere of Japanese victory on Ottoman's public opinion, five volumes of wonderful work named " 1904–1905 Russo-Japanese War", which was written and published by War Academy Commanders Ali Fuad and Senai, illustrated all sides of the war. In this study, the conditions of Russia and Japan before the 1904–1905 Russo–Japanese War, affairs before the war, reasons and process of the war and the results have been examined. Furthermore,"1904–1905 Russo–Japanese War"five volumes of illustrated work's first volume was summarized and information about authors' lives were given in it.
