The place and impotance of 1924 constitution in the modernization proccess of Turkey

Constitution is a rule of law which puts in order and secures a government's main construction,structure of administration, goverment's main parts and the relations between them, the goverment's power's changing hands, the rights and tasks between goverment and people. A modern goverment's legal structure is based on an essential constitution. In democratic countries, constitutions are respected an agreement documentary between goverment and society. Modernisation of a country is linled with constitutional decrees and their paractibility. In Turkey attemptions of becoming contemporary and tending to West begins at Ottoman Empire's age. In this circumstances, Tanzmiat, Islahat Ferman? and 1976 Kanun-? Esasi have an important role. However this constitution improvements restrict ruler's authority strongly, this dont change theocratic structure. vi But statement with "Sovereignty belongs to nation unconditionally." in 1921 constitution heralds not only rooted understanding change but also republic. Following Turk constitutions adopt the same understandig as well and especially 1924 constitution period represents rooted changes and revolution. The principle of efforts to modernise is Constitution of 1924, which was accepted by the 2nd TBMM and tied to these decrees, putting Atatürk Prenciples and Revolution into practice. Constitution of 1924 has been one of the best progresses related to laicism. By the way of Constitution 1924, National government system is recieved as in the modern governments and Türkiye Cumhuriyeti is established and the basic principles of Cumhuriyet are accepted.These basic principles are maintained as unchangdeable and indispensable by constitution of 1982.
